National Apprenticeship Week 2019: Discover how apprenticeships can benefit your business

National Apprenticeship Week 2019 takes place from Monday 4th March to Friday 8th March. Linked to the new national apprenticeship campaign ‘Fire It Up’, this year’s theme ‘Blaze a Trail’ will showcase how apprenticeships bring new energy and passion into organisations.

A range of events are taking place across Berkshire as well as nationally. Celebrating the benefits of apprenticeships to businesses and individuals, these events will feature employers and apprentices showcasing how they work together and information sessions from training providers.

Whether developing the skills of a current member of staff or recruiting a new individual, apprenticeships are a great, cost-effective way to develop your workforce and improve your bottom line.

Thames Valley Berkshire LEP – the business led partnership promoting economic and jobs growth across its area – is putting significant investment into skills and training, including helping employers take on more apprentices; as part of its mission to promote sustainable careers and help employers fill ‘skills gaps’ in their workforces which affect productivity. The LEP has funded numerous skills projects including the Berkshire Apprenticeship Service.
