Free Brexit Readiness Support for Businesses in Berkshire

Businesses across Berkshire will be able to receive free expert and specialist advice on preparing for Brexit and beyond.

Four Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) in the South of England are working together, and with government, to help businesses make important preparations for Brexit.

As part of a significant ramping up of the government’s national Brexit business readiness programme, a cluster of LEPs – led by Enterprise M3 – including Thames Valley Berkshire, Coast to Capital and Solent, are collaborating to support businesses as the UK prepares to leave the EU.

Tim Smith, Chief Executive of Thames Valley Berkshire LEP, “Preparing for Brexit is critical to our local businesses and we are very pleased that LEPs and Growth Hubs have been recognised by government as playing an active role in supporting businesses through Brexit and beyond. I welcome the opportunity to work in partnership with other LEPs in the South to support businesses across a wide area, sharing ideas and best practice and maximising the efficiency of our business support.”

The LEP-led Growth Hubs, including the Berkshire Business Growth Hub, will play a central role in activities, which will include encouraging as many businesses as possible to attend one of the many EU Readiness Workshops and events being held across the region and signposting to advice available to Berkshire businesses through Brexit.

Businesses will be able to receive free, expert advice on the actions necessary to prepare for Brexit from government specialists from across departments. The events will include a keynote address, interactive support and advice stands, and in-depth sessions led by subject matter experts.

The Berkshire Growth Hub will be present at the regional events to showcase their support for business through Brexit and beyond. The latest Brexit guidance, full list of events and resources can be found on the Berkshire Growth Hub’s website here
