Berkshire Growth Hub is going on the road in 2020 to help small and medium sized businesses develop strategies to overcome potential challenges and maximise future opportunities.

The Growth Hub, which delivers free and impartial business support services to ambitious local businesses, will be running a series of free ‘Preparing for the Future’ clinics in business centres and venues across Berkshire to help companies build business resilience.

The one-to-one clinics will offer expert advice from an experienced business adviser in areas such as growth strategy, funding and finance, grants (including the RDPE rural grant), importing and exporting. Where relevant, those attending the clinics will also gain access to Oxford Innovation’s GROWTHmapper® diagnostic tool, which is designed to help high growth firms identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and barriers to growth.

Each clinic offers a series of one-hour appointments with a business adviser, which can be booked in advance, as well as a drop-in session where business owners can simply pop along on the day for an initial conversation.

The ‘Preparing for the Future’ Roadshow will be visiting the following locations over the coming weeks:

Greenham Business Park in Newbury on 21st January (9am-2pm)
Regus Building 220, Winnersh Triangle on 23rd January (9am-2pm)
Fora at Thames Tower in Reading on 28th January (9am-2pm)
Regus, Siena Court in Maidenhead on 30th January (9am-2pm)
Regus in Windsor on 11th February (9am-2pm)
MyWorkSpot in Maidenhead on 13th February (9am-2pm)
Regus in Newbury on 18th February (9am-2pm)
Arlington Square in Bracknell on 20th February (9am-2pm)

These fully funded events offer local business owners the chance to speak confidentially to an impartial business adviser about the challenges and opportunities they face. The Growth Hub’s team of advisers all have experience of running their own businesses, access to a network of industry experts and extensive knowledge of the latest support programmes, funding options and grants available.

Berkshire Growth Hub offers fully funded, impartial support services and expert advice to start-ups and established businesses in Berkshire. The service includes free clinics and masterclasses on a range of business issues, alongside a special High Growth programme to provide tailored support to fast-growing SMEs and a dedicated scale-up programme for firms with an annual turnover of over £1million.

Since it was set-up in 2014, the Growth Hub has been achieving positive outcomes for local businesses and has already helped over 2,700 businesses with a range of challenges, from raising finance and devising growth strategies to improving productivity and profitability.
