This one-hour taster workshop provides initial advice and guidance on how to use LinkedIn effectively as a sales and marketing tool for small businesses.

LinkedIn is the premier B2B networking site. 450 million profiles worldwide and 21 million in the UK alone make it an incredibly powerful sales and marketing tool, but a lot of business people don’t understand how to get the most from it. In this taster session, we will give you some help and advice on how to make your LinkedIn presence work harder for you. If you have never had a LinkedIn account, we will show you how to set it up. We will also show you how to use LinkedIn to find, connect and engage with key potential customers.

About our LinkedIn expert

This clinic is run by Steve Doyle from Linking Business, on behalf of the Berkshire Growth Hub. Steve Doyle is an experienced LinkedIn trainer who runs his own business and has 35 years sales and marketing experience. He has worked for some of the largest companies in the world, running multinational sales and marketing teams, but also running his own consultancy and so he understands small businesses and the pressures on them.

He first used LinkedIn in 2005 but like most people didn’t know how to get the best out of it, using it as an online CV rather than the sales and marketing tool it can be. Its true potential became apparent when he used LinkedIn to build his own consulting business and to help a client finalise a €5 million distribution deal in a new market using LinkedIn contacts.

Since then he has shared his knowledge and experience to help businesses of all sizes get the most from LinkedIn. Through his business, Linking Business, he runs professional LinkedIn training workshops and programmes.
