The employment and immigration specialists at Herrington Carmichael Solicitors will provide an update and review of the current position on Brexit, what it means for HR, and where we go from here. In particular, we will look at the immigration measures in place to protect all EU Nationals and their family members who want to continue to work and reside in the UK, and what impact a deal or no deal scenario means for UK employment law and HR practice.

Katie’s career has spanned significant changes in employment law, including implementation of the Equality Act 2010, and the introduction of employment tribunal fees and reform of the tribunal system. Recognised in the Legal 500 as a leading lawyer in the Thames Valley, she is described by clients as ‘technically excellent’, a ‘breath of fresh air’, with ‘knowledge that is second to none’.
Imelda Reddington, Solicitor, Immigration
Imelda has almost 10 years of experience working in the immigration field since the inception of the Points Based System, and the introduction of right to work compliance checks. Imelda has seen many changes in immigration law and tirelessly strives to ensure clients are kept abreast of the ever changing myriad of immigration rules. She has large multi national client sponsors who transfer key and senior staff regularly to the UK and into Europe. Imelda has been labelled ‘a life saver’, for one client who was about to fail in a visa application for a key migrant worker. Imelda acts as representative for registered sponsors who do not have resources to allocate to complying with or learning immigration rules. Imelda and her team alleviate the ‘ache’ out of employing migrants, so that sponsors can continue to operate their businesses.
